Natural duvets are normally filled with goose down. They are normaly of high quality, are very comfortable and have an expensive price tag. Duvets with man made fillings are usually made with either hollow fibre or microfibre.
What is a Tog rating?
Tog is the standard rating to indicate how warm a duvet is. The higher the tog rating, the warmer the duvet.
In general tog ratings vary between 4.5 tog for lightweight duvets suitable for the summer months to 15 tog suitable for cold climates in winter. Some manufacturers offer an all seasons duvet set which offers a low rated duvet for summer use, a medium rated duvet for autumn and spring with poppers to enable both to be used together for winter use.
