So you may find that an IKEA mattress doesn't fit your UK bed base or that IKEA linen doesn't fit UK size duvets and mattresses. There can be some variation from manufacturer to manufacturer. Whilst we talk about bed sizes, what we are really talking about is the size of mattress for that bed. Remember too that the bed size chart is about the mattress size, not the overall size of the bed which can vary enormously. You will need to check with the manufacturer for the overall dimaensions of the bed you are looking at.
In terms of mattress size, as well as the height and width of your mattress, you should also consider the depth. Generally speaking a deeper bed mattress will of higher quality and therefore give better support.
